Ersel Hart Obituary
Ersel Hart, age 93, of Gladwin, passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025. She was born on April 16, 1931, the daughter of William and Eva (Bogert) Murdick, in Rochester. On September 2, 1949, Ersel married the love of her life, Thomas Hart. Together, they shared 71 years filled with love and cherished memories until he preceded her in death in 2021.
Ersel had a remarkable sense of humor that never wavered, bringing joy to those around her until the very end. She was a woman devoted to her faith, which throughout her life provided her with strength and guidance. Ersel found comfort in books, beauty in music, and joy in tending to her flowers. Most of all, she cherished the time spend with her family.
She is survived by her daughters: Bonnie Welch, Robyne (Ray) VanDuser, and Yvonne (George) Baker; grandchildren: Jennifer, Ranee, Craig, Nicole, Erika, and Blake; and 8 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband, and all of her siblings.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025 from 11:00 A.M. – 12:00 noon at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home in Gladwin. She will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Vassar, MI. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home. www.hallkokotovichfuneralhome.com
