Ervin Birr, age 86, passed away on September 14, 2024.
Ervin was born in Wausau, WI to the late Julius Birr and Elizabeth Birr (Behling). Ervin married JoAnn Birr (Oelke ) of Wausau, Wisconsin on June 6, 1959, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wausau, WI.
He was preceded in death by Julius Birr (Father), Elizabeth Birr (Mother). Laurie (Daughter), Gordon and Melvin (Brothers), and Madora (Sister).
He is survived by his wife of 65 years JoAnn Birr, son Jeff (Wendy) Birr of Wausau, brother Donald (Gwen) Birr of California. Along with nieces and nephew.
Ervin worked at A&P Tea Co. and Drott Mfg. (later known as JI Case and now Case IH). Ervin enjoyed fishing, Bocci ball and Shuffleboard. He made crafts, belt buckles, jewelry and centerpieces for special occasions. Ervin and JoAnn spent time in Florida as Snowbirds for many years. They also enjoyed camping up North in their 5TH wheel camper.
Public Viewing will be held Monday, 23rd of September 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church.
Services for Ervin Birr will be held on Monday, September 23rd, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor James Mayland officiating. An Entombment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park at 2:30 PM in Wausau, Wisconsin.
