Erwin Jackle Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels & Cremation Services on May 9, 2025.
Erwin C. Jackle "Herm", 84, of Enfield, beloved husband of Peggy (Kyle) Jackle, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2025, with his family by his side. Born on February 28, 1941, in Bainbridge, NY, he was the son of the late Erwin K. and Rose (Fischer) Jackle.
Herm was a lifelong learner with an insatiable curiosity and a deep appreciation for the world around him. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he found joy in life's simple pleasures-reading a good book, going for a long walk or run, and watching his favorite teams, the Boston Red Sox and Celtics. He found peace in nature, especially in observing birds, and had a quiet reverence for the beauty and wonder of the natural world.
He retired from the former Brand-Rex Corporation, where he brought diligence and intelligence to his work.
Herm is survived by his loving wife, Peggy, with whom he shared 52 treasured years of marriage; his son, Christopher Jackle and his wife Dawn; his daughter, Kimberly Nadeau and her husband Keith; and his cherished grandchildren: Griffin, Conrad, Cullen, Charles, Pierce, Makenna, and Cannon. He now has his faithful canine companion, Libby, by his side.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd, Enfield, with a memorial service to begin at 6:00 p.m. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Sorry to hear of Herm´s passing. We were Theta Chi fraternity brothers and room mates at Clarkson and he was an usher at my wedding in 1967. We had lots of fun at Clarkson and enjoyed each others´ company. My wife and I met my senior year and we double dated a lot with Herm. My thoughts and prayers are with Herm and his family.
