Esperanza Palomo, de 90 años, falleció el 7 de marzo de 2025 en Tulare, California.
Nacida el 20 de abril de 1934 en Linares, Nuevo León, México, Esperanza vivió una vida llena de bondad, cariño y generosidad. Era conocida por su singular y alegre sentido del humor. Fue una madre devota que apreciaba a su familia y siempre tendía una mano amiga a quienes la rodeaban.
Esperanza disfrutaba de la jardinería, pasar tiempo en familia jugando a la lotería, escuchando música y cocinando para sus seres queridos; pasiones que brindaban calidez y consuelo a quienes la conocieron. Como miembro del Sindicato de Trabajadores Agrícolas Unidos, fue una dedicada defensora de los derechos y beneficios de los trabajadores agrícolas, demostrando valentía y devoción como activista que participó en múltiples marchas y boicots. Su presencia irradiaba amor y apoyo, dejando una huella imborrable en todos los que la conocieron.
Le sobreviven sus hijas María H. Gutiérrez, María A. Palomo y Aurelia Palomo-Contreras; su hijo Armando S. Palomo; dieciséis nietos; veintiocho bisnietos; y dos tataranietos. Le precedieron en la muerte su esposo, José Antonio Palomo; su hijo, Ismael S. Palomo; siete hermanas; y dos hermanos.

Esperanza Palomo, 90, passed away on March 7, 2025, in Tulare, California.
Born on April 20, 1934, in Linares, Nuevo León, Mexico, Esperanza lived a life filled with kindness, caring, and generosity. She was known for her unique and joyful sense of humor. She was a devoted mother who cherished her family and permanently extended a helping hand to those around her.
Esperanza enjoyed gardening, spending time with family playing "Lotería," listening to music, and cooking for her loved ones-passions that brought warmth and comfort to those who knew her. As a member of the United Farmworkers Union, she was a dedicated advocate for farm workers' rights and benefits, demonstrating courage and devotion as an activist who participated in multiple marches and boycotts. Her presence radiated love and support, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met.
She is survived by her daughters Maria H. Gutierrez, Maria A. Palomo, and Aurelia Palomo-Contreras; her son Armando S. Palomo; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, José Antonio Palomo; son, Ismael S. Palomo; seven sisters; and two brothers.
Esperanza's memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
