In Loving Memory of Esperanza Perez Esperanza Perez, passed away peacefully surrounded by family Saturday, September 30 2023. She was 85 years old. Esperanza was born on February 16, 1938 and was raised in Ysleta, where she attended Ysleta High School and graduated in 1958. During her high school years, she distinguished herself as an all-star athlete, capturing the hearts of her teammates, coaches, and fans alike with her remarkable talents on the field. Her favorite sport was softball, a game that she played with unmatched passion and dedication. She also played in an outside league where her team achieved the pinnacle of success, winning the state championship. Outside of her athletic pursuits, Esperanza dedicated 25 years of her life to Farrar Manufacturing Company. Her strong work ethic, unwavering dedication, and commitment to excellence earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues and superiors. She was not only a valuable employee but also a supportive and caring friend to those she worked alongside. Esperanza Perez was more than an athlete and a dedicated worker; she was a loving daughter, sister, and friend. Her warm smile, kind heart, and gentle spirit endeared her to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Followed by death husband Fransico Perez (deceased), son Arturo Perez (deceased), mother Anita Medina (deceased), sister Mary Bautista (deceased), brother Francisco Medina (deceased). Esperanza is survived by her sister Rosie Medina, son Gilbert Perez, daughter-in-law Jovita Perez, daughter Rosemary Garcia, son-in-law Raul Garcia, grandchildren Melanie Perez, Valerie Garcia-Kutlu, Jeremy Perez, Lorraine Vasquez, and ten great grandchildren, who will cherish the memories of her remarkable life and the legacy of love and kindness she leaves behind. A Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Rosary starting at 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home- Americas, 9521 North Loop Dr., El Paso, Texas 79907. A Mass will begin at 10:30 AM on Friday, October 6, 2023 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 131 S Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, Texas 79907. A Graveside will follow at 12:30 PM at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, Texas 79907. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home- Americas. Esperanza Perez will forever be remembered as a loving friend and family member. Her legacy will continue to inspire and touch the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in eternal peace.
