Our beloved Esteban Rivera was born August 8, 1952, in Fajardo, PR. Predeceased by his parents, Margara and Tranquilino Rivera; his daughter, Tina McCoy; many brothers and sisters; his first wife, Elizabeth Kidd and second wife, Delia Torres.
He’s survived by his beloved brother and sister, Daniel Rivera (Yaya) and Lydia Perez. His children, Steven Rivera, Hector (Damaris), Delia, Angel (Yesenia) Torres, 10 grandchildren, Heather (Donnell) and Robbie Carey, David Dargan, Jonathan (Madie), Nathaniel, Melissa, Natalie, Orlando, and Angel Torres, Jacob Alvarez, 5 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Esteban was the youngest of 13 children described as always being out and about helping family and neighbors with all types of jobs. Through his love of helping family and neighbors, he became a jack of all trades. Esteban could repair anything from cars, remodel a house, furnace, HVAC, electric systems, you name it he did it. These skills landed him jobs such as at the RCSD and his last employment, The Spring House Restaurant. There he used these very important skills to keep it running like a well oiled machine. When he wasn’t doing repairs, he joined the crew on the cooking line where he learned how to cook amazing dishes. This man could cook!!!! Esteban was an all around great guy who loved and was devoted to his family and friends. He loved to bring them together in his basement or yard playing his beloved Salsa and Merengue, always serving as the house bartender. He was an amazing brother, husband, father, uncle and grandfather who never had a second thought about helping anyone all while making you laugh with his quick wit. He will be sorely missed by us all. We will love him forever!
