Estella Marie Burnett went to her heavenly home Friday, May 17th. She accepted Christ as her savior at the age of 8 and was a good and faithful servant from that time forward.
Estella was born in Sidney, Montana to John Dalke and Emma (Becker) Dalke, July 2, 1930. She spent her childhood in Sidney and Billings, MT before moving with her family to Powell at the age of 14.
On May 7, 1950 she married William H. Burnett. That union produced four children, Gary, Karon, Sharon and Gerald(Jerry). She was a Powell resident for most of her life.
Estella was an active member of her church, a Powell Valley Healthcare Auxiliary member, and served on the Senior Citizens Center Board. She also worked for many years at the JC Penney store and as the school librarian at Southside School. In her spare time she loved being with her family, camping, reading crocheting and puzzling. She was a devoted and loving Grandma, Nana and GG.
Estella is preceded in death by her husband Bill, her parents, daughters Sharon (Thompson), Karon (Keahey), grandson Brian (Burnett), sisters Glenda(Taylor,
Betty Moore and brother Malven Dalke.
She is survived by her sons Gary (Peggy) of Powell and Jerry (Ann) of Aurora, Co.
Son-in-law Bruce Keahey of Sheridan, WY. Brother-in-law David Taylor of Billings MT. Grandchildren Sean Burnett, Cori Burnett (Rei DeOliveira), Stephanie (Chris) Thomas and Ryan Keahey. Great-grandchildern Sully Johnston , Nolan Johnston , Preston Johnston and Harper DeOliveira.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at 10:00 am at the New life Church in Powell. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
The family respectfully requests that memorials be sent to Serenity Pregnancy Resource at 215 South Division in Powell, WY 82435.
