Estrada, Mrs. Estella (Luna)

Saginaw, Michigan.

Estella (Luna) Estrada, 89, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2026, following a lengthy illness in Rochester Hills, MI. Estella was born October 9, 1936, in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Joseph Avalos and Lee Larralde Luna.

She attended Saginaw High School. Shortly after high school, she married the love of her life Bonifacio Quinonez Estrada who preceded her in death in 1994. Estella worked for the Buena Vista School District for 23 years. She enjoyed being close to her children while working and having the same holidays. In the latter years of her employment, she was thrilled to be able to look out the library window of Buena Vista High School and see Bonifacio drive home from work at Steering Gear. She was a member of the St. Joseph's Alter Society and Women's Club and had served as an officer. She was also a member of LULAC.

Surviving are her five children, Theodore Estrada and wife Delores, San Antonio, Texas; Loretta Estrada, Rochester Hills, Michigan; Rebecca, Elaine, and Rosalie Estrada, Houston, Texas; two grandchildren, Breanna Estrada, San Antonio, Texas and Aaron Estrada, Fayetteville, Arkansas. She is also survived by her sister Gloria Verduzco, Buena Park, California.

Estella was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers, Eleanor Lopez, Saginaw; Martha Rotunno, Santa Fe, New Mexico; Joseph Luna, Las Vegas, Nevada; Oscar Luna and Richard Luna, both of Saginaw. Estella also has many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

We will all miss her generous heart, her giving spirit, her warmth, and the spirited energy that she shared with everyone she met.
