Esther Agnes Lauberth, 98, of Freeburg, was born February 28, 1927, the first of four daughters of Alex and Christine (Reinkemeyer) Fick, and departed this life on August 27, 2025, at Westphalia Hills, Westphalia.

She was united in marriage on June 2, 1949, at Rich Fountain, to Jerome George Lauberth, and to this union seven children were born.

Esther was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church, Freeburg, and was a devoted mother and homemaker. In later years she worked at the MFA Freeburg and assisted people with house cleaning and other needs. She loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Those left to mourn include: her children, Donna (Dick) Otto, Columbia; Jerry Lauberth, Bonnots Mill; Jeannie (Jim) Kampeter, Argyle; Neil (Darlene) Lauberth, Altus, Arkansas; Leon (Sue) Lauberth, Westphalia; and David (Patty) Lauberth, Freeburg; three sisters, Evelyn Allen, Elsie Epple and Jo Ann Voss; sixteen grand grandchildren; and over thirty great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; nephews; nieces; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jerome 1994, her youngest daughter Doris Kempker 2023, and Doris' husband, Tom Kempker 2021, both of Westphalia, her father, Alex 1978, and her mother, Christine 1993.

Esther moved from Freeburg to Westphalia Hills Retirement Center. She loved the community and her "little room" for over six years. Her family wishes to thank Dr. Mike Dudenhoeffer and the staff at Westphalia Hills for the excellent care provided.

Visitation will be held, Wednesday, September 3, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with her Mass of Christian Burial following at 11:00 a.m., all in the Holy Family Catholic Church, 104 Oliver Street, Freeburg, MO 65035, with Father William Debo as celebrant.

Interment will be in the Holy Family Catholic Cemetery, Freeburg, under the direction of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers masses or memorials to the Holy Family School Building Fund with envelopes available at the church the day of her service or in care of Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, P.O. Box 250, Vienna, MO 65582.

Esther was such a kind and gentle soul, with a giggle that filled hearts with joy and a smile that stretched from ear to ear. Truly a sweetheart, she lived an incredible 98 years filled with love and devotion, raising seven wonderful children who are a testament to her spirit. Her deep Catholic faith and love of God guided her life, giving her strength and shaping the kindness and grace she shared so freely with others. Her warmth and joy will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love and faith lives on in all who were blessed to know her. May she rest peacefully in God´s eternal embrace, reunited with loved ones in Heaven.
