Mrs. Esther Richardson Nickerson
Aiken, SC—A celebration of life service for Mrs. Esther Richardson Nickerson age 79 will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday April 30, 2025 at Redd's Branch Baptist Church with Pastor Richard McWhite officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Nickerson entered into rest Friday April 25, 2025 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. She was the loving wife of the late Mr. David George Nickerson, Sr. and a daughter of the late Mr. Wade Rufus Richardson, Sr. and the late Mrs. Brittie Esther Johnson Richardson. Mrs. Nickerson was born and raised in Aiken, SC. She moved to Jonesboro, GA and resided there for 40 years before moving back to Aiken, SC. She made Aiken her home for the past 17 years. After graduating Business School in Augusta, GA she took her first employment at Satcher Ford Motor Company, Aiken as a Title Clerk. She later accepted a position at H&R Block as a Receptionist then at the Clayton News Daily in Jonesboro, GA as an Office Associate. Her hobbies included reading, puzzles, games, and collecting lighthouses. Survivors include her two sons, David George Nickerson, Jr. (Andrea Downs, Fiancé'), Athens, GA, Marcus (Erin) Nickerson, Jefferson, GA; one daughter, Tanya (Bryce) Beyler, Acworth, GA; one brother, Wade Rufus Richardson, Jr., Aiken; two grandchildren, Alyssa and Andrew Beyler. Pallbearers will be Andrew Beyler, David Nickerson, Jr., Marc Nickerson, Bryce Beyler, Bryan Moore, Steve Ford. In lieu of flowers the family had suggested that memorials be made to Redd's Branch Baptist Church 390 Redds Branch Road, Aiken, SC, 29801. A visitation with the family will take 6-8 pm Tuesday April 29, 2025 at COLE FUNERAL HOME 1544 UNIVERSITY PARKWAY (118 BY PASS) AIKEN, SC, 29801. 803-648-7175.
