Mrs. Mary Frances Day Mayle
Aiken, SC—A celebration of life service for Mrs. Mary Frances Day Mayle, age 88, will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2026 at Clear Water Branch Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Smart officiating. Interment will follow at the Clear Water Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Mayle entered into rest March 8, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Mr. Thomas Mayle and the daughter to the late Mr. Benjamin Day and the late Mrs. Mary Watts Day. Mrs. Mayle was a native and lifelong resident of Aiken. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Clear Water Branch Baptist Church where she actively participated in various activities such as Sunday school classes, decorating, and fixing food for church dinners. She served faithfully with her husband and children in the US Air Force, having been stationed overseas. Mrs. Mayle had been employed at the Winn Dixie on the northside of Aiken in the bakery section for five years. She loved cooking, gardening, and sewing. She was loved by her friends and family and will be deeply missed. Survivors include: three sons Ronald (Rita) Edward Mayle, Winter Haven, FL, Richard (Cindy) Lee Mayle, Aiken, SC, and Steven (Felicia) Leroy Mayle, Aiken, SC; one daughter Sandra Lynn Brown, Winter Haven, FL; four brothers Ray Day, Aiken, SC, Charles Day, Aiken, SC, Glenn Day, Warner Robbins, GA, and Mike Day, Aiken, SC; nine grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Mrs. Mayle was preceded in death by one son Gregory Eugene Mayle and three brothers Tony, Billy, and Robert Day. A visitation with the family will take place one hour prior to service at Clear Water Branch Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Clear Water Branch Baptist Church 235 Crooked Creek Rd Aiken, SC 29805.
