Esther Reue was born on January 8, 1919 to Paul and Minnie Wornat in Beasley, Fort Bend County, Texas.

Esther had two sisters Mary Hueske (Albert), Lydia Reue (Lonnie) and one brother Albert Wornat (Mary).

Esther married Hubert Heinrich on June 8, 1937 and moved to Houston, Texas shortly after. Esther was a longtime Catholic Daughter and Hubert was in the Knights of Columbus. Esther and Hubert had one daughter Maydell Heinrich Smelker who was born on May 28, 1938.

Esther was a housewife, mother, and grandmother and enjoyed cooking, sewing and traveling. Esther was always a caregiver she cared for Hubert's mother for 10 years and took care of Hubert for 3 years until he passed away in July 1982.

Later she took care of her second husband Melvin until he passed away in January 2010. Esther married her second husband on Dec 28 1985 and they traveled around enjoying life. From 1985-2010 they lived in Weimar, East Bernard, Beeville, Sealy and finally landed in Hungerford, TX. Upon the passing of her second husband, Esther moved to Woodbridge, VA and lived with her oldest granddaughter Suzanne and her husband Jim Stewart. After falling and breaking her knee she moved to Greenfield Assisted Living in Stafford, VA on November 7, 2017.

Ms. Reue has two granddaughters, Suzanne Stewart (James) (Woodbridge, VA) and Caroline Smelker (Spring, TX). She also has three great grand children: James M-W.Stewart (Stafford, VA), Jessica Champange (Spring, TX), Jonathan Smelker (Spring, TX). As well as four great great grandchildren: Emmylou (Stafford, VA) , Kayden James (Spring, TX), Jameson Jack (Stafford, VA), and Palin AnnMarie (Spring, TX). Melvin's Family: Esther's stepchildren: Merle (Joe) Hudgins, Wayne (Gloria) Reue). Merle's and Joe's children: Terri Hudgins, David Hudgins (Sherri), Sarah Hudgins (Domingo Montalvo) Wayne and Gloria's children: Carter Reue (Kat) and Lesley Reue Gadomski (Brandon).

Services will be held Monday, February 11, 2019 at Earthman Funeral Home, 12555 South Kirkwood Road, Stafford, TX 77477 as follows:
Visitation: 9 am to 11 am
Rosary: 10:30 am by Catholic Daughters
Memorial Service: 11 am
Burial: Davis Greenlawn
