Esther Weimer Obituary
She was born July 3, 1928 in Port Allegany, the daughter of Frank and Letha (Shelley) Manning. On February 9, 1951, at the EUB Church in Port Allegany, she married Rayburn A. "J-Bird" Weimer, who died July 23, 2012.
Mrs. Weimer attended Wright's and Liberty Schools in Port Allegany, and she was a homemaker, tending to the needs of her family. She also was instrumental in helping her husband with their dairy farm and logging business.
Esther attended the Sartwell Creek Union Church in Burtville, PA.
She is survived by:
Two sons: Joseph L. Weimer of Roulette and Ray O. "Bear" Weimer of Ulysses, PA
Two daughters: Cheryl R. Brown of Eldred and Linda M. Weimer of Roulette
Step Son; Russell (Sandy) Weimer of Allen, TX
Two sister-in-laws; Shirley Tucker of Roulette and Anita Manning of Holidaysburg, PA
Nine grandchildren: Denise Weimer, Sara (Christian) McGonnell, Chris (Michele) Stilson, Casey (Dan) Winseck, Corey (Dan) Butler, Ray Weimer, Ed (Brittany) Weimer, Jon Weimer, and Allison Rissler
Numerous great grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren
And numerous nieces and nephews
In addition to her parents and husband, Esther was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeff Fallenstein, a great grand daughter Abbie Jae Oliverand four brothers, Paul, Lloyd, Merle and Lee Manning.
A celebration of Esther's life will be held at a later date and time to be announced.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Roulette Volunteer Fire Department. Online condolences may be made at www.hartle-tarboxfuneralhomes.com.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., Port Allegany.
