Esther Wilson, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2024, at the age of 65. Born on November 1, 1958, in Accra, Ghana, Esther was the cherished daughter of the late Enoch N. Nubuor and Grace Nubuor-Amarteifio.

Esther's life was a vibrant tapestry of joy and adventure. She had a deep passion for travel, exploring the historic landscapes of Europe, including Italy, France, and Iceland, and cherished her visits to New York to be with her family. Her greatest pride and joy were her grandchildren, whom she adored and delighted in spoiling.

An avid enthusiast of international and kung fu movies, Esther found joy in both the action-packed and the culturally rich. She was also a dedicated bargain hunter, always on the lookout for the perfect deal. Esther was an extraordinary chef, pouring a bit of heart, soul, and creativity into everything she crafted in the kitchen.

Esther was preceded in death by her mother and father, and her brother, Richard Nubuour. Esther is lovingly remembered and survived by her sons, Nii Ankrah-Wilson and Phillip (Dana) Wilson; grandchildren, Isis, Imara, and Isaac; her brothers, George Matey Nubuor and Enoch L. Nubuor; her ex-husband, John Wilson; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives.

Her warmth, kindness, and spirited presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
