Estrella Elena Teheng, 81, of Bellville, GA, and wife of Dr. Raymundo Teheng, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2025. She was born in Tayug, Pangasinan Province, Philippines, on May 3, 1944, the eldest daughter of the late Jacinto and Nieves Mendoza. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Philippine Women's University in Manila. Estrella went on to work as Clinical Instructor for San Pedro Women's College of Nursing in Davao City, Philippines, where she met her husband. She was a beloved teacher there, so much so that she was an honorary guest at several class reunions. Many of her students continued to visit her decades after their graduation. Estrella dearly loved the church and was the pianist and Catechism teacher for St. Christopher's Church in Claxton, GA, for many years. She loved to dance, was also an excellent cook, a passionate decorator, and a generous host. Her warmth and positive energy always filled the room and made you feel welcome and appreciated. She and her husband enjoyed many gatherings at their home, and her legacy lives on through the recipes she passed down and the fond memories of parties and celebrations in their home. Estrella will be lovingly remembered by her three children, Ray, Arvin, and Ryan; her daughters-in-law, Allison, Maria, and Beth; and her grandchildren, Jack, Sealy, Will, Emmy, Ellie, and Merritt. She is the eldest of her siblings including, Jing, Mila, Carmen, Potts, Engle, Red, and Lynn. Friends and family are invited to celebrate a Funeral Mass for Estrella at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, (6800 Buffalo Speedway in Houston, Texas.. In Lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in Estrella's name to Houston Hospice - https://www.houstonhospice.org/donate/
