Some battles cannot be won no matter how hard we may wish it so. Our beloved Ethan Richard Knox lost his final battle in the early morning hours on September 11, 2022 with his loving mother at his side He was 34 years old.
Ethan was born May 11, 1988 to Al and Patti Knox. He graduated Palatine High School in 2006 and from the University of Illinois in 2012. He was an Eagle Scout, obtaining the rank in 2006. He obtained his pilot's license in college and spent 2011 studying abroad in Paris.
Ethan loved exploring and adventuring. He loved his animals - Connor, Nino, and Ernie. He loved to play games. He was always up for a game of frisbee or cards, time on legos, or a puzzle. He had a great sense of humor and a hearty laugh. He loved to cook. His family will remember him as smart, funny, and adventurous. Ethan's dad, Al, was his hero. Now they will be together for eternity camping and seeking adventure - young at heart for always.
