Ethan Jax Lin

Ethan Jax Lin, of Verona, NJ, passed away peacefully in his parents' embrace on September 14, 2024, at the tender age of 4. Born in Livingston, NJ, Ethan was a vibrant spirit whose brief life radiated pure joy and unconditional love.
Ethan was diagnosed with High Grade Neuroepithelial Brain Tumor in July 2021. Ethan faced his challenges with incredible bravery and resilience. Despite his young age, he possessed a larger-than-life presence that brought laughter and warmth to everyone around him. Ethan was always ready to share his favorite last bites with family. As a loving little brother, he made sure to care for his sister. His favorite activity was to pick her up from school.
Ethan had an innate ability to spread joy, laughter and light wherever he went. Originally affectionately called Baby Hulk then evolved to Spider-Man, Ethan often filled the clinic with laughter playfully shooting imaginary spiderwebs at medical staff and joyfully exclaiming "Ah! My head fell off!" or "What the heck!?" during his Roblox adventures. With an infectious smile and a zest for life, Ethan delighted in trips to resorts and showcased an impressive palate that surprised everyone. As an eclectic music enthusiast, he entertained relatives with his joyful singing and dancing. His selfless compassion and boundless happiness left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to cross his path.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM at Shook-Farmer Funeral Home, 45 Roseland Ave, Roseland, NJ 07068. Ethan's Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, 28 Livingston Avenue, Roseland, NJ 07068. The burial ceremony will take place at 12:00 PM at Rosedale Cemetery, Garden of Roses, 750 E Linden Ave, Linden, NJ 07036.

Ethan will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew him. Ethan is survived by his devoted mother, Aimee Sison; his loving father, Shuo Lin; his adoring sister, Phoenix Lin; his caring grandparents Jose and Emilia Sison. Ethan leaves behind loving aunts, uncles, great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins. He was preceded by his grandparents, Ying Feng and Pu Hui Lin.
Ethan was a beacon of light, a source of strength and inspiration, and a reminder of the beauty that exists in the most simplest moments. The love he shared and the happiness he brought into the world will forever resonate in our hearts, continuing to inspire and uplift all who had the privilege of knowing him. Ethan's legacy will endure, a testament to the incredible impact one small soul can have on the lives of many.
