Etheal Lee Gaskin

Etheal Lee Alexander Gaskin, 75, was born December 10, 1949, in Columbia, SC to the late Emma Hart and Albert Alexander. She attended Booker T. Washington High School located in Columbia, SC. On August 3, 1967, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Charles E. Gaskin Sr. and to this union two kids were born, Charles E. Gaskin Jr., and Christopher D. Gaskin.
Upon Charles Sr.'s retirement from the United State Army the family settled in Lacey, Washington and eventually relocated to Fayetteville, NC. After the passing of her husband, Etheal moved back to her hometown of Columbia, SC to be closer to her family and friends. Etheal was loved by many. She touched so many people's lives throughout her journey on earth. She was a pillar of strength. Supportive and reliable to everyone that knew her.
Etheal wore many titles, but the one she cherished the most was "Nana". She loved her family, especially her grand kids. Etheal enjoyed traveling and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her favorite past time was playing bingo and going to the Casinos where she would win big every time.
Etheal was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Charles E. Gaskin Sr. She is survived by two sons: Charles Jr. (Tamesha) of Gastonia NC. and Chris (Missy) of Lakewood, WA; two brothers: Nathaniel and Calvin (Elisa) of Cincinnati, OH; nine grandchildren: LaDarius (Naikeema) of Tallahassee, FL; Cameron of Layton, UT; Jaden and Briana of Morrisville, NC; Malik of Portland, OR; Dwight (Trudy), Cedric, Mason, and Chris Jr. all of Lakewood, WA; three great grandchildren: Leona, Jovian, and Adalynn all of Lakewood, WA; and a host of nieces, nephews,
cousins, relatives, and friends.
