Ethel Marie Ditchley, a devoted wife and loving mother, passed peacefully into eternal life on March 10, 2026, just days after her 92nd birthday. Born on March 7, 1934, she lived a faithful life filled with quiet strength and selfless love.

She shared 59 cherished years of marriage with the love of her life, Carl Benjamin Ditchley Sr., until his passing in 2009. Together they created a home overflowing with warmth and devotion to their family.

As she left this world, Ethel was welcomed into the light of heaven by those who preceded her: her husband, Carl Benjamin Ditchley Sr.; her sons, Johnny Ditchley, David Ditchley; and her daughters, Diane Rhude, Carol Gulley, and Kathie Johnson.

She is survived by her sons Carl Ditchley Jr., William Ditchley, and Garry Ditchley; and her daughters Victoria Ditchley, Karen Sleeth, and Carrie West, along with her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Though we grieve her absence, the blessing of Ethel's love far outweighs our sorrow. May her gentle spirit and the light of her life continue to guide and uplift us.

Ethel will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew her. Services will be private on Monday, March 16, 2026 at G.H. Herrmann Funeral Homes. She will be laid to rest at Floral Park Cemetery in Indianapolis.
