Ethel Mae Taylor Obituary

Ethel Mae Taylor, age 88, of Clermont, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on September 13, 1937 in Jacksonville, Florida, Ethel was the daughter of Robert and Thelma Parker. She grew up with a warm spirit, a quick wit, and a strong sense of family values that carried through her entire life.

Ethel married Richard John Creson in 1956, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication to family. She was a devoted mother to her only child Jeffery Richard Creson, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Some years after Richard’s passing, Ethel married Willard “Bill” Carl Taylor in 1990. They lived out their remaining years together until Bill’s passing in 2021.

Ethel had a passion for music, gardening, and scuba diving. She was known for her generosity, love of animals, beautiful singing voice, and devotion to her church.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Jennifer Lin (Robert) Riffle, Zachary Richard Creson, daughter-in-law Linda May Creson, and great granddaughters Bayleigh and Gracey Riffle. Ethel was preceded in death by her parents’, brother Donny Jordan, sisters’ Barbara and Peggy, and her son Jeff.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th at 11:00am at Highland Funeral Home and Memory Gardens in Apopka, Florida.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Hunt Trace Senior Living and Mike Conley Hospice House, Clermont. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lake County Animal Shelter.

Ethel Mae Taylor’s legacy of love, faith, and strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
