Ethel Williams Obituary
Ethel Baskin Williams, 91, transitioned peacefully on August 24, 2021 at Stamford Hospital. She was born on August 20, 1930 in Lugoff, South Carolina to the late James Baskin, Sr. and Viola Cunningham Baskin. Mrs. Williams was predeceased by her husband Stedford Williams and retired from CTE Inc. after numerous years of service. Her memory will be treasured by one son; Tyrone Myers ( Althea Watford), one sister; Gloriaetta Summons, three brothers; Joseph Baskin, Sr. (Shirley), Kenneth Baskin and Leonard Baskin ( Juanita), her goddaughter; Pastor Nicole Escoffery, her godson; Terrance Summons and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her siblings, Odessa Porter, James Baskin, Johnel Baskin and Leroy Baskin. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 30, 2021 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am followed by a service of celebration at 11:00 am at Union Baptist Church, 805 Newfield Ave., Stamford, CT. with Rev. Carleton J. Giles officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Darien. Services entrusted to Graves Medley Funeral Services.

To the Baskin Family. Ethel has been a special part of our lives. As we all know she loved to travel. As some will remember the Travel Club we had. She also enjoyed camping. When we talked with her on many occasions, she always talked about what wonderful times we had at the campground. We will definitely miss her laughter and smiles. We will keep each and everyone of you in our Prayers. Tyrone, we know she loved you but God loved her Best.

I worked with Ethel for many years at CTE. She was more than a co-worker; she was a true friend. My condolences to her loved ones. I will miss her.
