Ethelene Cooke Obituary

Ethelene Cooke, a cherished resident of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 1st, 2025, at the age of 95. Born on Saturday, August 30th, 1930, in Social Circle, Georgia, Ethelene blessed the world with her warmth, compassion, and dedication to helping others.
Ethelene dedicated her life to caring for others as a Nurse at the Atlanta VA Medical Center in Decatur, Georgia. Her colleagues and patients alike remember her professional excellence and her incredible empathy for those she served.
Ethelene was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Boykin and Cosie Webb, and her devoted husband, Arnold Cooke. Despite the loss, she carried forth their legacy of love and kindness, touching the hearts of everyone she encountered.
Friends and family will gather for a Celebration of Life on Thursday, October 16th, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Rainbow Park Baptist Church, located at 2941 Columbia Dr., Decatur, GA 30034. Prior to this, a viewing and visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Ethelene will be laid to rest on Friday, October 17th, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Georgia National Cemetery, 1080 Scott Hudgens Dr., Canton, GA 30114, where she will join her dearly departed family in eternal peace.
Arrangements have been thoughtfully provided by Gregory B. Levett & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory- South Dekalb. Ethelene's memory will be cherished by all who knew her, as her legacy of love and care continues to inspire future generations. She will be deeply missed yet fondly remembered.
