God's faithful servant, Etta Geneva Ison Patton, 99, of Goochland, VA, entered into eternal rest on October 23, 2023. She was born in Carter County, Kentucky on February 14, 1924. She was preceded in death by her husband, Palmer P. Patton; her daughter, Elaine Patton Williams; her parents, Charles and Isabell Ison; three brothers, Lance, Lawrence, and Harry Ison; and two sisters, Marie Stephens and Irene Mutters.
She is survived by her three daughters, Lois Patton Thurston, Deborah Patton Tomlinson, and Pamela Patton Gibson; and two sons-in-law, Cecil Thurston and Bobby Gibson. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
Etta Patton was a Member of Chapter #41, Order of the Bland Eastern Star, and assisted with her husband's fifty-year ministry as he served various Christian Churches across the State of Virginia.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 27th from 12-2:00 p.m. at Forest Grove Christian Church, 3831 Hadensville-Fife Road, Goochland, VA 23063. Funeral services will immediately follow with interment at the church cemetery.
