Grew up across the street from Gene.Played cowboy and Indians and every form of whiffle ball we could think up.
He and I and my dad and his uncle Willy went fishing up Whitetail Cr. and on our way out Gene was going a little too fast in his stead's pu.
We went off the side of a bridge and the truck hung up the side rail. Long story short, a Wagoneer burnt it's clutch out trying to pull us off, Gene and I walked ten miles to the Pipestone on ramp and hitchhiked to Butte for help. Lots of food memories of fishing, hunting, football, wrestling

Gene was like a little Bro of mine. Grew up in our home about 3 short blocks from his. Many fun contests in all sports & a few challenging encounters as brothers have. I'll miss our chats over the last several years and especially since is stroke. His mental toughness after the stroke was especially inspiring & motivating. Rest in peace My Bro with your mom, your sis & Aunt Laura

Gene was like an older brother. He taught me to fish, hit a baseball, throw a football and always came to see me. He was a mentor and would help in any way I needed it. We will miss him.
