Eugene D. Burrows Â- born on January 3, 1918, passed into the LordÂ's presence on Sunday, November 26, 2006. He is preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Burrows and daughter Pamela Burrows. He is survived by his children, Margaret Smith and her husband, Currie; Eugene D. Burrows, Jr. and his wife, Verena; Patricia Johnston and her husband, Randy; and Thomas Phillip Burrows and his, wife, Marsha; six grandchildren, Amber Willingham and her husband, Phil; Kevin Smith, Nicola Burrows, Stephanie Burrows, Russell Burrows and Aaron Burrows; two great-grandchildren, Cole and Casey Ray Willimgham. He was a devoted husband and loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. As an accomplished accountant, he worked his skill in the corporate world in San Antonio after serving as an officer in the US Army during WWII in Italy. He was a lover of the spoken word and enjoyed a well-turned phrase. An avid musician, he played in military bands and dance orchestras as a young man and sang in church choirs for many years. A life-long Deacon in the Baptist Church, he served His Lord in many different ways, including teaching Bible Classes, Ministering to shut-ins at nursing homes and witnessing to the incarcerated. Dad, you are home!!
