We met Gene at the Hall of Champions at Kentucky Horse Park. We had pictures taken with him. He loved Funny Cide- the horse we were going to see , as we are partners with Sackatoga Stable. Just a wonderful man and very professional horseman. We are saddened of his passing. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and the staff of Kentucky Horse Park. A true gentleman with a passion for horses. Race horses. God bless Gene.

It is only fitting that after the passing of Mr.Eugene Carter that the 1st Day of The Keeneland Fall Meet of Friday October 4th 2019. Would land on the same day of Mr.Carter's Wake from The Maddoxtown Baptist Church. If Mr. Carter could speak to us now ? He would tell you about how many Keeneland (Spring/Fall Meets he has been to all these years starting with the very 1st one and ending with his last one of the Keeneland Spring Meet of 2019. In which He and We all did not know that would be his last. My Condolences goes out to his kids that I had grown up with through -out the years. Tina/Vivian/Mark/Rick and The Rest Of The Family. Always Remember His Spirit of working around The Horseracing Track with The Horses. ((He Will Always Be There)).

I am so sad to hear about Mr. Carter's passing. I am a patron of the Kentucky Horse Park, and I loved how Mr. Carter would tell the story about his experiences with Man O'War over and over. He was a wonderful man, and many of us will miss him. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family and friends. God Bless, and thank you, Mr. Carter for everything.
