Rochester: Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at age 97. Predeceased by his wife, Victoria D. Cassata; son, Thomas E. Cassata; parents, John and Josephine Cassata; brother, Joseph (Jane) Cassata. He is survived by his daughter, Maria (Sam) Casanzio; grandsons, Robert, Steve, Jason, & Paul (Delaney) Casanzio; sister-in-law, Renate Attoma; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Eugene was a proud real estate agent for over 75 years, known mostly for Cassata Realty and his years with Nothnagle. He was also active in volunteer organizations including CDS and the Preservation Board.
Friends may call Tuesday from 4:00-7:00 pm at DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Road, Gates. On Wednesday, August 13, all are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 10:00 am at St. Margaret Mary Church (St. Kateri Parish), 401 Rogers Parkway, 14617. Inurnment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CP Rochester, 3399 S. Winton Road, Rochester, NY 14623 (https:/cprochester.org) in his memory.
