Kathleen (Kathi) M. Adams Kier
November 1, 2025
Kathleen (Kathi) M. Kier, of Rochester NY, passed away peacefully at home. She is pre-deceased by her mother, Leonore Heeks. She is survived by her two sons, Michael Kier (Lisa) and James Kier (Allyn), grandchildren Marissa (Chris), Danny, Caitlin, Tyler (Alicia), Kyle (Megan), Sarah (Brandon), John Michael (Alycia), Julia (Joe) and Jake, five great grandchildren, sister Andrea Wood (Dave), nieces Destiny Czerniak (Dave) and Heidi Massing, and nephew Scott Massing.
Kathi graduated from Olympia High School and worked for the IRS before starting a family. Later, she supported her family working at Sal’s Birdland and Johnny’s Restaurant, and she retired after a successful 20-year career at Eastman Kodak. In retirement, Kathi volunteered her time with the Town of Greece Historical Society.
Kathi was an avid gardener and took pride in her yard and home. She was fiercely independent and enjoyed retirement with her family as well as the solitude in the comforts of her home. She enjoyed researching her family roots and played games on her ipad. She also loved her cats, who became her family and life-long companions.
Per Kathi’s wishes, there will be a private grave-side service only. A special thanks to the Rochester Regional Hospice nurses, Palliative care team and staff who made a huge difference showing their, love, compassion, and support to Kathi and her family during this difficult time.
Any donations may be sent to Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Road, Fairport, NY 14450.
