I´m saddened to hear of Gene´s passing-
I had the occasion to work for Gene on several occasions in the 80s and later from 95 to 2000. Gene was always fair and considerate with great questions with a wry sense of humor- He had a quizzical look when you know he needed more information. I respected him and will miss him.
With kind regards and sympathy to his family,
Mark Pulczinski

I met Gene in March of 2022 via a Meissen page on Facebook. At the time my knowledge on the subject of Meissen was very limited his was exceptional.
He was more than willing to share that knowledge with me. He taught me alot on the subject. I'm extremely grateful for that.
We started out discussing porcelain before long we were discussing family, gardening (his flowers, my vegetables)and life. We had some great conversations and great laughs.
I'm truly sorry to hear of his passing,my condolences.

Gene and I were roommates our freshman year at Niagara 1972-73. I had the top bunk, he had the bottom. What I remember most was his interest in music. He had this little record player and he would listen to it late at night. Luckily he was very considerate and used head phones. Thoughts and prayers to family.

I worked with Gene at Greenwich Hospital and he became a friend and mentor. I admired him for his wit and intelligence and always noticed how he could consistently recall financial detail in seconds. I told our colleagues that he had a mind like a steel trap yet he was humble and kind. I will miss him. My condolences to to all his family who he adored.

I worked with Gene for many years during the development of the Yale New Haven Health System. Those were some tense times at every level. But not so much when Gene was involved. His sense of humor and his genuinely kind way made the process easier on us all.
I began work very early each day in New Haven and when the phone rang at 6:30am I knew it was Gene and I was happy to talk with him. He was a very nice man and is gone much too soon. My deepest condolences to his family and friends. Laurie Cahill

Mr. Colucci (Gene) was such a special person in my life. During my high school years, his son John and I were best friends. I practically lived at their house and my parents would beg me to come home, but I never wanted to leave because I felt so comfortable there. The Colucci's are very generous and wonderful people. Mr. Colucci used to take me, John and Gene out on Sundays for movies and dinner after, sometimes ice cream too! They always made me feel like I was a part of their family and I'll never forget that. They're a wonderful family and this is a terrible terrible loss. My deepest of condolences. -Pete Albano Jr.
