Born on July 9, 1947, in Moultrie, Georgia, Eugene was the son of the late Carl William Dean and Estelle Dixon Dean. Eugene's world revolved around his family. His love for his wife, Patricia, his daughter, Ashley, and his grandchildren, Madison, Zoie, and Zane, was immeasurable and brought immense happiness to his life.
Mr. Dean found joy in listening to bluegrass gospel music, often humming along to melodies that brought him joy. His passion for fishing and spending countless hours by the water was where he found comfort. Eugene never met a stranger, always greeting everyone with a warm smile and a kind word, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He worked as a security guard for Sanderson Farms before retiring and was of the Christian faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Tony Lynwood Dean, Donnie Dean, Roger Dale Dean, James Dean, and Tony Carl Dean, and his sister, Emma Lee Virginia Tillman.
He is survived by the love of his life, Patricia Ann Nelms Dean; daughter, Ashley Dean Hampton and husband Clay of Moultrie; grandchildren, Madison Hampton, Zoie Hampton, and Zane Hampton; and sisters, Juanita Dean Eubanks and husband Danny of Moultrie, and Carlene Herrington of Kentucky; mother-in-law, Mildred Massey Nelms of Moultrie; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will gather at Clay and Ashley Hampton's home.
