Elaine, I am so sorry to hear about Gene. His character and love of life will forever be embedded in my spirit. The last time I spoke with him, on the phone, in 2023, I knew he sounded different, but my childhood and young adult memories of Gene wouldn't allow me to fully grasp his aging. My Mom, his Cuz, Rose, was so connected to him when I was a child and young adult. The fond memories I have of being in his and Ralph's company, their amazing antics, the three of them and their love of chaos & adventure, will forever stay in my heart. I loved Gene, as a "knocked off from first cousin", the adventures I had with him and my Mom, from Christmas tree foraging to backyard fire nights at the trailer, so many memories I will forever hold dear. I am so sad to read of his passing, but so hopeful that Gene, my mom Rose, and Ralph are now hanging out again and causing much hysterical havoc in the Afterlife.
