Eugene Egnarski Obituary
A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 13, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown with Fr. David Drefcinski officiating. Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Innichement with military honors will follow the service at St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery in Watertown. Memorials, if desired, would be appreciated to Rainbow Community Care. Hafemeister Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Watertown is serving the family. Online condolences may be left at www.HafemeisterFH.com.
Eugene John Egnarski was born on July 15, 1930 to John A. and Helen Rose (Wichlacz) Egnarski in Angelica, WI. He attended and graduated from Pulaski High School. Gene served in the United States Navy on the USS Midway. He married Bernadette Lemmen on June 30, 1956 in Pulaski, WI. Gene worked for Lindberg Hevi-Duty in Watertown for 41 years.
Gene was an outdoorsman and liked deer hunting, fishing, camping, and waterskiing. He enjoyed going up north to their cottage in Wautoma while spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Bernadette Egnarski of Watertown; five children: Glenn (Julie) Egnarski of Watertown, Dan (Susan) Egnarski of Waukesha, Denise (fiance Randy Schultz) Pirkel of Watertown, Todd (Connie) Egnarski of Watertown, Shelly (Mark) Jannke of Watertown; 14 grandchildren: Kendall (Jason) Suhr, Brandon (Amanda) Egnarski, Taylor (Eric) Gerber, Sheena (John) Gatzke, Nicole (Ryan) Sorensen, Tyler (Jade) Egnarski, Emily (Ryan) Kuerschner, Megan Pirkel (Tim Haizel), Katie Gene (Brandon) Wisse, Jill (Eric) Hafeli, Kristi (Jake) Gawel, Cody (Shandi) Jannke, Kelsey (Ben) Imberg, Shane Jannke (Jasmine Kohls); 24 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Geri Egnarski, Darlene Egnarski, Mary Ann Ignarski; as well as other relatives and friends.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers: Donald Egnarski, Joseph Ignarski, Roger Egnarski, and James Egnarski.
The family would like to thank Amy, his caregiver, Jenny, all the nurses and CNA's at Rainbow Hospice, and the VA Visiting Angels for the care they provided to Gene.
