As I looked at this picture of Eugene my mind went back to my childhood years. Everytime I saw him at his grandmother's house on Temple Street he was always smiling. No one could tell me during that time either that Eugene wasn't my uncle and Annie Mae wasn't my aunt. So, of course that made Tweety and Eugene Jr. my cousins. Hold your heads up during this time and keep the Faith. Love,

I offer my condolences to the Fleming family, his many friends and patrons. Like many of us guys from the West End, Rev. Fleming has cut my hair since I was a child. Although it would sometimes be years between visits to his shop and chair, I could always depend on a warm welcome, his executing his craft to the highest of excellence and a few choice words of kindly wisdom. I am 58 years old and found the man consistent every time. Rev. Fleming’s life is his testament and he has been a positive influence on me and many others. May Peace and Blessings be with HIM and his Family.

We would like to sing a PSALM of praise to our extended family from PSALM 100 MAKE a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD hs is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting: and his truth endureth to all generations. My name is Anita, Charles wife. My husband have been going to Eugene every since he was a little boy. I married in 1996 and Eugene became my extended family as well. We would have great conversation concerning the LORD. He could not stay and I know we will miss him but my FATHER needed him because his work on earth was done!!! May the LORD bless you and your family in Jesus Name. A-men

Mr. Eugene was a wonderful man, he was the life of his barbershop. He use to cut my oldest son's hair who is now 30 year old and then when I had my second son who is 15 years old Mr. Eugene also cut his hair. I will definitely miss seeing Mr. Eugene and joking with him. He used to called me "Ms. Ann." He probably called all the ladies "Ms. Ann." Mr. Eugene will be missed but not forgotten. To the Family of My Friend,Eugene:

I pray God will comfort you in knowing that Eugene is out of his misery. I, like you, will truely miss him. He was such an inspiration and help to so many. He gave so many young men a chance and a place to start their careers. He not only trained them in their profession, he guided them morally and spiritually, as well.

If the phase, "...if I can help somebody along the way, my living will not be in vain," definitely applies to him.

May God give you peace and solace in knowing that Eugene has left a wonderful legacy behind.
