I met Gene back in the 90´s when I hired J&L for wetland permitting assistance with the state. I really enjoyed working with Gene and found him to be honest, ethical and creative in his work. I always enjoyed chatting with him and though it has been many years since our paths have crossed, I will miss him. Deepest condolences to his family.

My heart and my prayers have been with the Jaworski family since I learned of Gene's passing...and before during his years long struggle with kidney disease. We would periodically meet with Gene and Nancy for lunch at Tomato Brothers in Howell - Fr. Peter Dougherty and I coming from Lansing, and they from Ypsilanti. Those where such heartwarming occasions...listening to and learning from each other, and hearing all that kept Gene going. All of us were part of the Holy Trinity Chapel community at Eastern Michigan University in the 1970's, where Peter and I served as campus ministers along with Sr. Kate Kalous and Fr. Bob Kerr. Gene and Nancy and their children were a constant presence at the chapel for Masses and activities. What a blessing they were in the HTC family/community. We will miss our periodic meet ups in Howell - our love and prayers are with you, Nancy and children. We love you so much!!

So sorry for your loss. I was a student of Gene in the late 80´s early 90´s. I loved his aerial photography class and still speak of it and use the principles I learned from him.
He was a favorite during my time at EMU. An inspirational human. Peace to all.

Uncle Eugene was a dear man, always asking about what I was up to and what my kids were up to. We liked talking about environmental studies education and wetlands in general. I'm really going to miss him, his jokes and his wisdom. My heart, thoughts and prayers are with you .

Gene and I were colleagues at EMU for all the years we worked there. Gene was one of the ''Good Guys" who was respected by students and other professors. He contributed much good work for Michigan's natural environment. It's hard to believe and sad that he's gone. Best wishes to his family.
