Eugene Gerard Lonergan, 93 of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed at the Terraces Assisted Living Facility on Friday October 31st, 2025. Eugene was born and spent many years living in New York, NY until moving to Matawan, New Jersey in 1963. He went on to enjoy life in New Smyrna Beach, Florida with his lifelong love Doris who passed in 2006 before moving to Little Egg Harbor in 2021. Eugene proudly served our nation in the United States Airforce during the Korean War and worked many years in the beer industry. He was a past active member of St. Benedicts Church and a current communicant of St. Theresa’s R.C Church in Little Egg Harbor. He was an avid golfer, world traveler and enjoyed gardening.
Eugene was predeceased by his parents Patrick and Anne Raleigh, brothers Patrick and Francis and sisters Anne and Rita.
He is survived by his loving children Brian Lonergan and wife Kate of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, Gene Lonergan of Marion, MA and Gail Sullivan and husband James of Wall, NJ and 11 grandchildren.
A private service will be held in Little Egg Harbor before departing for Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell Fl.
