Eugene "Gene" Marmann

January 6, 1933 – August 10, 2025

Eugene "Gene" Marmann, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Born on January 6, 1933, Gene lived a life of service, devotion, and integrity.

He proudly served his country in the United States Navy before beginning a distinguished 30-year career with the Fire Department of New York, retiring in 1988 with the rank of Battalion Chief. A dedicated community servant, Gene was a member of the Jericho Volunteer Fire Department for over 50 years, serving as Chief, a member of the Board of Fire Commissioners, and as President of the Jericho Fire Department Exempts Association.

Gene was the proud father of three sons and a daughter, grandfather to eleven, and was eagerly awaiting the arrival of his first great-grandchild. He will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to family, his service to others, and his kind and humble spirit.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Eugene's name to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation at T2T.org (https://t2t.org/).
