Eugene J. Marx

Eugene "Gene" J. Marx, age 89, of Ross Township, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, November 5, 2022.
Beloved husband to Madeline Marx; cherished father of Michael (Mace) Marx, Diane (Tom) Fennell, Jeffrey (Lori) Marx, Scott (Rose) Marx, and Paula (Richard) Misutka; adored grandfather of Ryan (Melissa) Hutzler, Aleah (Elliott) Dunaye; Nathan (Ali) Marx, Lexi (Adam) Serpa, Melaina Hutzler, Miarra Misutka, and Keeley Misutka, also preceded in death by Eric Connor Hutzler, age 2; great-grandfather to Arlo, Levi, and Wesley. Eugene is also survived by his brother David and sister-in-law Donna Marx as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Eugene proudly served in the US Navy on the USS Lexington, was a member of the Lex Elects, member of the Daughters of Hibernia in Etna, and was a 35-year employee as a Materials Management Supervisor at Magee-Womens Hospital. He enjoyed his DOH Steelers parties, making others laugh, and taking care of his cat Merlin. He was an adamant Pittsburgh sports fan. However, his true passion was spending time with his family.
