Eugene died in the early morning of 12/13/2024 after a long illness. He was surrounded by loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie Maule, his mother Gladys Maule, and his father Thomas Maule. He is survived by his brother Larry Maule (Linda) and Bonnie Maule Schwab (Raymond). Eugene has a daughter, Tonya Clark, stepdaughter Rhonda Foster, grandchildren Lucas Riddle, Amber Seye, Nick Hazen, and Tasha Joynes, and great-grandchildren Jayde, Rylee, Kayden, Isabella, Logan, Valencia, Clara, and Navy.
Eugene drove truck in his early years but then went to Kirkwood Community College and earned a degree in water treatment. After college he found that truck driving was more lucrative and he liked it better, so continued his career as a truck driver until he retired from GSTC.
Eugene played guitar in his off time and even played in bands when he was young. He was also a pretty fair mechanic and was able to keep all the family cars on the road.
Eugene was loved by his family. He was a proud man and took his responsibilities seriously. Always ready to teach what he knew, always ready to help through bad times and good times, a shoulder to cry on and could be quite the entertainer. He will be missed by us all.
There will be a gravesite memorial in the Spring. Further details to come.
