EUGENE A. MOCKELSTROM, 77, Indianapolis, died March 23, 1999.  He was born on January 19, 1922 in Monivista, Colorado.

He was a boiler and vessel inspector for American States Insurance for 33 years, retiring in 1984.  He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the St. Monica Young at Heart and Blue Army.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Monica Catholic School.

Services: 10:00 a.m. March 27 in St. Monica Catholic Church, of which he was a member, with calling there from 4 to 8 p.m. March 26.

Entombment: Washington Park North Cemetery.

He was the widower of Darlene Billie Joan (Meyers) Mockelstrom.

Survivors: wife Lucille C. Folzenlogel Mockelstrom; children Colleen M. Rice, Rita A. Jones, Karen S. Weaver, Linda J., Alfred G. Mockelstrom; stepchildren Diane E. Caruthers, Daniel M., David A., Duane R., Donald R. Folzenlogel; sisters Dorothy Davis, Alice Krause, Marian Hiddleston; brother Leonard Mockelstrom; two grandchildren Chad & Bowles and Jessica Wilkerson; seven stepgrandchildren Chad, Brian, Megan, Michael, Kelly, Eric Folzenlogel, and Brandy Taylor; a great-stepgrandchild.

Flanner & Buchanan Washington Park North Mortuary is handling arrangements.
