Eugene Natale Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Maiorano Funeral Home - Waterbury on Mar. 4, 2026.
Eugene "Gino" Natale, age 82, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Gardner Heights Health Care Center.

Born in Waterbury on July 7, 1943, he was the son of the late Virgino and Theresa (Yadlosh) Natale. Gino was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters and worked for over 30 years as a truck driver and warehouseman until his retirement. In later years, after accompanying his brother to Davita Dialysis Center, he began volunteering with Davita, warmly greeting guests, and offering support to the staff wherever he was needed.

Known for his impeccable style and signature charm, Gino was a beloved regular at the Macy's Lancôme counter, where he became a true connoisseur of colognes and face creams. He was rarely seen out of what he fondly referred to as his "uniform"-khakis, crisp white sneakers, and a polo shirt in any color always perfectly complemented by one of the many scents from his extensive cologne collection. Gino was an avid New York Yankees fan and followed the team faithfully throughout his life.

Gino is survived by his daughters, Michele Iorio-Fontan and her husband David, and Gina Newsome and her husband Tommy, all of Waterbury; his grandchildren, Erinn Iorio, Olivia Iorio, and Raymond Iorio Jr.; and his great-grandchildren, Kylo and Elina Sierra. He also leaves his sister, Rita Geloff, and her husband Dimitri of Syracuse, NY, and his nephew, Robert "Butchie" Natale. He was predeceased by his brother Roy Natale.
