Eugene Savely

Eugene Savely, 43, of Bethlehem died Friday, November 22, 2024 surrounded by his loving family after battling a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Phillip E. Belusko. They celebrated their 10thwedding anniversary on June 26, 2024. Born in Moscow, Russia, he was the son of Tatyana (Kazakova) Savelyeva of Slatington and the late Sergei Savelyev and the stepson of Ilya Dubinskiy of Slatington. After graduation from high school, Eugene studied at the Professional School of Clothes Design, Moscow, Russia. After coming to the United States in 1998, he was a highend fashion designer in New York City's fashion district. His clientele included many A-list celebrities. He most recently has been employed as a quality control technician at Pretium Packaging, Bethlehem. Eugene was also a self-trained gourmet cook who loved to experiment with new recipes for his friends, family, and especially his courageous husband! A multi-talented artist, he had an eye for design. His flair for interior design can be seen throughout his and Phillip's home. He was not shy about providing advice to anyone he encountered. Anyone who met Eugene knew he was brutally honest and would do anything for a laugh. The amount of love he shared with the world will continue through the lives he touched, especially those of his beloved mother, Tatyana, and his soul mate, Phillip.
Survivors: Husband; mother; stepfather; brother, Roman Savelyev and his wife Natalia of Moscow, Russia; nephew, Ilya Savelyev of Moscow, Russia; mother-in-law, Bethanne McHenry and stepfather-in-law, Ernie Swisher of Parksley, VA; treasured feline children, Tish, Shadow and Kira; and many close friends.
Service: A viewing will be held from 4 to 5:00PM Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem. Funeral Service 5:00PM Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
