Eugene Carl Thorman

Eugene Carl Thorman of Berlin Township passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025 at the age of 87.
Eugene was born on September 14, 1937 in Armada Township, Michigan to William F. and Ella (nee Arndt) Thorman. From a young age Eugene was a hard worker, helping on the family farm to settling in his career as a gravel train driver. He loved working as a gravel train driver for his brother's company, Thorman Sand and Gravel. Retiring in 1989, he would often reminisce with his brothers and friends about the good old times of driving trucks. On June 30, 1978, he married Helen in Armada and they shared many wonderful years together before her passing. Eugene enjoyed being in nature and would take long walks with his pups taking in the great outdoors. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Eugene is survived by his children, Dawn Thorman, Anne (Robert) Zawadzki, Judy Wyatt, Michael (Wendy) Kiehler, Pam (Bradley) Goss and Adam (Ashley) Thorman; grandchildren, Emersyn Thorman, Hudson Thorman, Amber Zawadzki, Ashely Zawadzki, Melissa (Jason) Palmateer, Danielle (Jason Helton) Kiehler, Amanda (Justin) Villa, Matthew Wyatt and Andrew (Lyndy) Wyatt; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Elsi Ludeman and Gladys Laarman; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Eugene was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara; second wife, Helen; siblings, Marion Clement, Mildred Snover, Myrtle Wylin, Marvin Thorman, Melvin Thorman, Minnie Redd and Ray Thorman; and his parents.
A visitation for Eugene will be held Thursday, August 28, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tiffany-Young & Hauss Funeral Home, 73919 Fulton, Armada. The funeral service will take place on Friday, August 29, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. with visiting beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place immediately following the funeral service in Bruce-Armada Cemetery, Bruce Township.
