Violet Loraine Watson

Violet Loraine Watson of Armada passed away January 27, 2026 at the age of 96.
Violet was born on August 17, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan to Guy and Bernice (Kegler) Baldridge. On September 16, 1950 Violet married Alvin E. Watson in Detroit, Michigan; they had three daughters. Violet worked for Lake Orion Public Schools until her retirement in 1992. She loved traveling and going on cruises, as well as spending time in Port Austin and Caseville at the cottage. She was a great teacher of ceramics and taught it all. Violets favorite thing though, was her family, she especially loved spending time with and taking care of the babies. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed.
Beloved wife of the late Alvin; loving mother of Diane (the late Daniel) Sutherland, Linda (David) Tkaczyk and Carol (John) Lyons; adored grandmother of Christopher (Natalie) Sutherland, Michael (Abbey) Sutherland, the late Kathryn Sutherland, Robert (Becky) Vander Hoeven, Julie Vander Hoeven, Scott (Megan) Curlett and Jennifer Curlett; devoted great-grandmother of Mason, Benjamin, Bryce, Belen, Charlie, Isabelle and Lucien; cherished sister of Gerald Baldridge, the late Kenneth Baldridge and the late Robert Baldridge; and sister-in-law of Karen Baldridge. Violet is also survived by her special cousins David and Doris Klein as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
A visitation for Violet will be Sunday, February 1, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Monday, February 2, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Tiffany Young and Hauss Funeral Home, Modetz Chapel, 73919 Fulton St., Armada. The funeral service will be Monday, February 2, 2026 at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m.. Burial will be at Christian Memorial Cultural Center in Rochester Hills, Michigan.
