Eugene Edward Unverferth, 71, of Findlay, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at The Heritage.
Eugene was born September 7, 1954, to the late Leroy E. & Dorothy A. (Siebeneck) Unverferth.
Eugene is survived by his sister, Nancy (Gary) Steffen of Pandora; nephews, Benjamin (Tanna) Mullett of Texas and Andrew (Melody) Mullett of Virginia; great nephew, Ethan Mullett; aunt, Edna Kahle; and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Randy (Janet) Unverferth and his sister, Sally (Marv) Mullett.
Eugene graduated from Findlay High School. He worked as a welder and was employed at Werk-Brau in Findlay until retiring after 44 years. He also enjoyed working every fall at the Putnam Co. Haunted Cornfield alongside Nancy and Gary. Eugene was a member of Ottawa Eagles for over 50 years and was also a longtime member of Fostoria Moose. When not at work or enjoying the company of friends and family, Eugene could be found fishing. He was an outdoorsman and spent much of his free time camping, deer hunting, and casting a line for walleye at Lake Erie.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday, December 22, 2025, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. A Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 617 W. Main Cross St, Findlay. Burial will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Pandora.
Memorial contribu-tions can be made in memory of Eugene to American Cancer Society or St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church.
