Giles where she supported and worshipped with her husband and his family at the Mt. Level Baptist Church, of Amelia, VA. In marriage the family unit later moved to

Many other family and friends have been left to miss and cherish her memory to include three devoted nieces, Ann (Waverly) Brown of Chase City, VA, Mary Allen (Wilburt) of
Petersburg, VA, and Marion Johnson of Baltimore, MD., nephews, cousins and her Charles City friends and church family. She relocated to Petersburg for a short time to have a closer relationship with her children and grandchildren while caring for her grandson and always ensuring his wellbeing.
While in Petersburg, she worshipped with the Springfield Baptist Church family, Dinwiddie, VA regularly along with her daughter, grandchildren and many friends. She later decided to unite with the New First Baptist Church of Petersburg under Rev. Dugger watch care where she served on the Pastor Aide and where ever else she was needed.
After "her babies", as she called them, reached adulthood, she moved to Charles City County, VA to be closer to her life long friends, Beatrice Greene and Maggie Payne. There she continued her journey of drawing closer to God by uniting with the Gillfield Baptist Church under the Pastorship of Rev. Michael Jones until her health declined. Her favorite "Me Time" was listening to what she called "Some Good Old Spirituals".
As her health declined and was in need of constant assistance she resided at the "Wonder City Rehab & Nursing Center for the last season of her Life but was able to smile, talk and have her special moments when ever family and friends visited. She never met a stranger, so she easily made friends with everyone especially the nurses and other staff members. As her life became more challenging you could hear her humming a hymn, and you could ask her, how she was doing. She would reply, "I'm doing the best I can".
And that she did until she heard a whispered voice saying: "I saw you, and I heard you calling my name. I have good news. I just finished your brand new home, and I have the key in My hand and the old Ship of Zion bound for Glory Land is near by. Your ticket is already stamped. I will direct the captain to stop by your Port, and I'll meet you there. All you have to do is catch hold of my hand and step on board where you can have rest, peace and joy forever". And so it was. On December 14, 2025, just about 4:40 p.m. in the afternoon in a twinkling of an eye, she took ahold of the Master's hand and sailed home to glory to be at rest and reign forevermore basking in the Glory of our Heavenly Father.
God gets the Glory out of her story!!
