Mrs. Eula Medlin Standridge Slater, 90, of Hartwell, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2026 at AnMed Medical Center, Anderson SC.
Born on March 21, 1935 in Toccoa GA, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Medlin and Bonnie Hand Medlin. Mrs. Slater was a retired Seamstress for Hartwell Mfg. Company, a former SS Teacher and member of the Price Chapel Church of God. She loved her church and her family.
Survivors include a son: Robert D. “Bo” Standridge (JoAnne) of Westminster SC; a daughter: Shirley Standridge of Pacolet SC; a daughter-in-law: Bonnie Standridge of Hartwell; a sister: Jan Blackburn of Greenville SC; nine grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren and five great great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Slater was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Alton Standridge; a son: George A. Standridge; four brothers: Burley Medlin, Fred Medlin, Roy Medlin and James Medlin; three sisters: Hazel Bagwell, Aqualler Wilson and Bertha Wilson and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 27, 2026 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Other times the family will be at their respective homes.
Funeral services for Mrs. Eula Slater will be Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Tony Franks officiating. Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
Flowers are optional, and memorials may be made to the Price Chapel Church of God, 687 Providence Church Rd, Lavonia, GA 30553.
