Eunice Davis, age 85, of Russell, Minnesota, died under the care of hospice on Friday, November 21, 2025, at Ava’s House in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Memorial Services are 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall, Minnesota. Visitation will be held one hour prior to her celebration, from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m., also on Wednesday at the Hamilton Funeral Home.
Eunice Fay Kinnaird was born on July 30, 1940, in Missouri. She was the daughter of Wesley and Dora (Wagner) Kinnaird. Eunice grew up in Plato, Missouri, and graduating high school there with the class of 1957. Eunice then found work at the Walker Service Club and, while raising her children, she met Mr. Donald Davis.
Eunice and Donald were united in marriage on March 6, 1975, at the Palace Union Church in Missouri. Eunice continued her work at the club in Ft. Leonard before working at Sambo restaurant. The couple spend 21 years together prior to Donald’s death in 1996. Eunice then provided daycare for several years prior to her retirement in 1999. She moved to Marshall, Minnesota, in 2013 and then in with her daughter, in Russell, in 2017.
Eunice was an avid collector and spent her quiet time doing embroidery or word search puzzles. She doted on her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, spending as much time as possible with family.
Eunice died on Friday, November 21, 2025, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She reached the age of 85 years, 3 months, and 21 days. Blessed be her memory.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Winter of Russell; 3 grandchildren, Christalee (and Jamie) Castaneda of Adrian, Tiffany Mathias of New Port Richey, FL, Casey Winter of Minneota; 18 grandchildren, Arianna, Jamie, Destiny, Lilianna, Gabriel, Bailey, Bella, Mondo, Mia, Elias, Hannah, Teddy, Mason, Cayenne, Greyson, Benny Jo, Zophiana, Vi’vienne; 3 great-grandchildren, Orlando, Elijah, Rowan; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Eunice was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Dora Kinnaird; husband, Donald Davis; son, Gary Kinnaird; and 7 siblings, Delbert Kinnaird, Charles Kinnaird, Audrey Hill, Prentice Hildebrand, Eulace Kinnaird, William “Dean” Kinnaird, and Shirley Olin.
