Eunice Marie Helmuth

Eunice Marie Helmuth, age 92, passed away on December 31, 2025, in Gulfport, Mississippi.

A native of Picayune, Mississippi, Eunice was a longtime resident of Gulfport. She graduated from Industrial High School and went on to build a life centered on faith, family, and service to others.

Eunice worked as a loan officer at First Federal of Picayune, where she was known for her professionalism and dedication. Outside of her career, she generously shared her talents and time with her community. She served as a makeup artist for the Miss USA Pageant and found great joy in playing the piano. Her home was often a place of fellowship, where she hosted Bible studies and welcomed others with warmth and kindness. She was actively involved in church work and was affiliated with the Southern Baptist Association.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Simon and Nettie Seal, and her son, Bruce Mitchell.

Eunice is survived by her beloved husband of 42 years, Levi Helmuth, of Gulfport; her son, Stan Mitchell, and his wife, Sheila; her siblings, Sarah Jane Seals, William Seal, and Huey Seal; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. with visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport, MS 39503. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery, 400 Veterans Ave. Biloxi, MS.
