She was born December 8, 1923, in Bunch, Oklahoma to Bertha and Charlie Scott, and died Saturday April 13, 2024, in Modesto, California.
She was preceded in death by her husband Cleveland "Dude" Mathia, who passed away February 7, 1992. She was also preceded in death by all of her siblings: Brothers Cecil, Clyde, and D.O. Scott of Tahlequah. Sisters: Hazel Lingo, Lucille Clay, both of California, and Violet Nelson of Tahlequah. In addition to these siblings there were 3 who died as infants.
She is Survived by daughters: Joyce Mathia of Texas and Brenda Rushing-Parrott, Son-in-law Michael Parrott of California. Grandchildren: Stephanie Lambert of Texas, Lance (Quan) Rushing of California,and Cameron (Laura) Rushing of Oklahoma. Great grandchildren: Christopher and Justin Jones of Texas, Addison, Eden, Grayson, and Kaylen Rushing of California, Jack and Grace Rushing of Oklahoma
