Eunice I. Miller, age 89, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2026, surrounded by love and memories of a life well lived at Elwood Care Center, Elwood, NE.

Eunice was born on December 30, 1936, in Trenton, Nebraska, to Garrett Alfred Parsons and Esther Irene Patten Parsons. She grew up with strong family values that shaped her caring nature throughout her life.

She graduated from Edison High School in May 1956. On August 17, 1957, Eunice married, Rolland “Red” M. Miller, in Beaver City, Nebraska. Together they shared 48 years of marriage, building a life rooted in devotion, laughter, and hard work. Red preceded her in death in November 2005.

On October 3, 1969, Eunice and Red purchased their home in Cambridge, NE, where countless memories were made and where her welcoming spirit was always felt.

Eunice dedicated many years of service as a Certified Nursing Assistant, caring for others at Minnick Care/Nursing Home and Cambridge Memorial Hospital. Her work reflected her natural compassion and unwavering desire to help those in need.

She was a faithful member of the Methodist Church in Cambridge, Nebraska, where her quiet strength and kindness touched many.

In February 2007, Eunice found companionship and new adventures with Robert “Bob” Hoffman. Their time together brought joy, laughter, and comfort, and Bob remained her loving companion and greatest adventure.

Eunice found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She enjoyed crocheting afghans, fishing, working on puzzles, gardening, and lovingly tending to her cats. She cherished Saturday morning coffee with her girlfriends and loved dancing at the bingo hall, where her smile and laughter were always present.

Eunice is survived by her loving companion, Robert “Bob” Hoffman; her sister, Sandra Daley (Mike); numerous nieces and nephews; children and grandchildren she loved as her own; and many dear friends whose lives were enriched by knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Garrett and Esther Parsons; her husband, Rolland “Red” M. Miller; her brothers, Richard Parsons, Sam Parsons, and George Parsons; her sister, Joan Wood; her great-nephew, Tyler Green; and her grandson, Nicholas Barfield.

Eunice will be remembered for her gentle heart, steady presence, and the love she freely gave to family, friends, and all who crossed her path. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched and the warmth she shared so generously.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at Trinity Community Church in Cambridge with Pastor Tim Burke officiating. Visitation will take place an hour prior to services. Burial in the Fairview Cemetery in Cambridge will follow services.
